Location

The Buxton Radio Amateurs are located in the town of Buxton in the northern part of Derbyshire, just outside the Peak National Park, 1000ft above sea level.

About our club

We are a small club with an average membership of 31 drawn from the local Amateur, SWL & CB community.

Meetings tend to be informal, with little live Radio activity, due to the nature of the meeting place. We sometimes have the odd presentation given by local members and also by some outside radio amateurs.

Please feel free to contact us via e-mail, or if you are visiting the town feel free to come along. Our club members tend to monitor V47 (145.5875MHz) and GB3HH (145.700MHz)

If you are interested in radio and are looking for a club to join please feel free to contact us.

As well as radio, some members also have an interest in computers. The informal evenings usually generate interesting discussions on both.
